Club Rules

Submission Guidelines

All photos submitted to the Outdoor Adventure Photo Club must be original work taken by the person submitting them. We do not accept stock photos, AI generated images, or photos taken by someone else. The whole point of this club is to showcase real moments captured by real people in the outdoors, so if you did not take the picture yourself it does not belong here. Photos must be submitted in JPG or PNG format and the file size must be under one megabyte. If your image is larger than that you will need to resize or compress it before sending it in. We accept photos taken on any device whether it is a high end DSLR or your phone. Some of the best wildlife shots in our gallery were taken on a phone because the person happened to be in the right place at the right time. Each member can submit up to three photos per voting round and each photo must fit into one of our three categories: Wildlife, Landscape, or Action and Adventure. Make sure you include the category in your submission so we know where to place it.

Voting and Winner Selection

Voting is open to everyone who visits the site. You do not need to be a member or have submitted photos to cast a vote. Each voting round features a selection of photos from each category and the photos with the most votes at the end of the round are declared the winners. Winners are displayed in our gallery page along with their name and a description of where and how the photo was taken. We ask that voters pick the photos they think are the best based on composition, subject matter, and overall feel rather than just voting for their friends. The point of the voting system is to let the best outdoor photography rise to the top regardless of who took it. Keep it fair and keep it fun. If we catch anyone trying to game the votes or spam the system those votes will be removed. We want this to be a legit community where good photos get the recognition they deserve. Winners are announced at the beginning of each new voting round and their photos stay in the gallery permanently.

General Club Rules

Be respectful in the chat room and in any interactions with other members. This club is about sharing a love of the outdoors and photography, not arguing. Photos that contain inappropriate content, illegal activity, or anything that does not fit the outdoor and adventure theme of the club will be removed without notice. All photos should be taken in a way that respects wildlife and the environment. That means no photos of animals in distress, no baiting wildlife into dangerous situations, and no images showing damage to natural areas. We want to celebrate the outdoors, not exploit it.
